Meet The Team
RICHARD CARTER
Managing Director
I graduated in 1997 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and my first jobs worked within computational fluid dynamics and ultrasonics.
By 2005 I was focusing my career on land development and consultancy as a Senior Engineer at Peter Brett Associates, now Stantec. I completed the IOA post graduate diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control in 2007 and rose through the ranks at PBA before I left in 2010 to lead the environmental acoustics team at Hoare Lea.
I stayed at Hoare Lea for 10 years where I worked on many exciting projects and developed a good understanding for wind turbine noise. More latterly I joined SLR to look after wind turbine noise assessments there before taking the plunge to set up Bow Acoustics.
I am a Chartered Engineer and a member of the institute of acoustics.
